ICT可望舒緩中國精神健康專業人員短缺之問題?


互聯網已經成為人們尋求精神健康知識的一個重要資訊渠道。2009年的統計資料就指中國大陸有超過一億人受苦於精神健康問題 (約相當於1/13人口) (see Yuen, 2013),但很多人並不主動尋求專業支援服務,與此同時中國的精神健康專業人員也供不應求。

Chen and Zhu (2015) 就進行了一項研究嘗試探討中國城市人口使用互聯網尋求精神健康資訊及支援的情況,共有2446位參與者,其中107位報告有顯著的心理困擾 (即Kessler Psychological Distress Scale [K10] 分數高於30) 。

研究發現,K10分數高於30分者 (即受心理問題困擾的受訪者) 與其他受訪者的互聯網使用率相差不大 (56.5% and 60.3%, respectively);超過四分一心理受困者透過互聯網來尋求精神健康相關資訊,十分一心理受困者參與網上論壇或聊天室,高於一般受訪者的比例。

研究人員指,由於中國缺乏精神健康專業人士,以互聯網進行的支援服務或  guided self-help 可望成為一個低成本的方法改善當前困境。
