電話應用程式PTSD Coach的初步效果評估


曾跟大家介美國國家創傷後壓力症中心 (National Center for PTSD) 研發的PTSD Coach這是一個為支受創傷後心理障人士而製的智能電應用程式。關於這個 app 的介紹,可參考拙文PTSD Coach:一款獲獎的心理健康自助apphttp://onlinemhs.blogspot.hk/2016/09/ptsd-coachapp.html

這次筆者想跟大家簡介一下這款 app 的效果。

這款 app 2014年時在全球78個國家被下載了13萬次但此前並未有任這款 app 之成效評估研。因此,Kuhn et al. (2014) 就在一個 45 名美退軍人的樣本中初步分這款 app 的作用。

45象,都是正接著退軍人事務部 (Veterans Affairs, VA) PTSD住院治的病人。研人員首先教導他用這個 app要求他在接下來的3日完一些任務,做自我評估、閱心理教等,以確保他會使用到這個app。最後,會接一份用後問 (PTSD Coach Survey) 也會參加一個焦點小組。PTSD Coach Survey是一份為這次研特別設的評估工具15用以判滿這款app、是到有幫助等等而焦點小組則是一個半結性的小組討論,當中關注於使用這款app的情況(如使用頻率、什下使用、是app的內有價、對健的影響(如症制)等,也有機的意或觀察,這個app做得更好。

映,參與者對這個app頗為滿意,也感到有幫助,91.1%受訪者傾向認這個app令自PTSD並非無所作為的 (原句: Helping Me Feel There Is Something I Can Do About My PTSD)88.6%也傾向認這個app有助自的症 (原句: Helping Me Track My Symptoms)

焦點小組中參與者也給予一些有用回。譬如,一些使用者就有以下的回饋

  • "When I was feeling a little agitated, I would use it."
  • "I used it all the time to manage my symptoms and to learn more about PTSD."
  • "I liked the relaxation stuff. I liked it because I didn't have to go see a psychiatrist. It was very helpful because it was like a self-help thing. I didn't have to wait until the 15th to see my psychiatrist."
  • "……when I had anxiety, the breathing helped."
  • "I used 'What is PTSD' with family members. I'm not good at describing things very well. It's not just coming from us, but from a professional source. I didn't even know that I isolated. I was able to hand it over and say 'hey, look at this."'


由此可見這款  app 對使用者也有一定程上的幫助。當然,這次介的研究,是很初步的成效評估研

過,這也意味著以  ICT 來為受心理障的朋是可行之舉而透過科來使精可達度更高、更具彈性、更全面也是大勢所趨。

許, self-helppsychoeducation apps 也可再次參考這個美 VA 的研究,想必對我們也會有一些啟示。
