A Transition from teacher-centered to learner-centered for learning Critical Thinking Skills

Undoubtedly, Internet is an online learning environment which is flexible, accessible and user-friendly for different learners to equip themselves. Facing lots of information delivered from the online platform, it is necessary to consider how to utilize sufficient critical thinking skills to search, collect, organize, use and evaluate instead of merely reading content. Most importantly, learners can utilize the online environment to discuss and express their opinions, viewpoints and ideas on different topics. For example, through online discussion, lots of information can be conveyed effectively and efficiently. Although it is possible to make use of the online platform to develop a more constructive program to enhance critical thinking skills, how can Hong Kong Education Institutions create a resourceful program for individual development? Sendag and Odabaşı (2009) designed a two-phase research project which include an online e flexible instructional resource site and scheduling of the course makes it hard to implement collaborative activities. Therefore, accessing to a resourceful site and making use of the information are both important tool to enhance individual capability.
